I just watched a recording of “Healing in the Heartland” and was inspired to write this post about every day people creating miracles. I believe that shifting to being an empowered co-creator of miracles is natural for human beings but that most people only make this shift for a compelling reason. The Moore, Oklahoma tornado is only one example of how in times of crisis people are inspired to go beyond their limitations to help. There are dozens and dozens of stories of people and animals being saved by neighbors and strangers who dug through the rubble. There are thousands of people who donated funds for people’s care and rebuilding of homes, churches, and schools. Each person’s contribution built on the giving of others to create miracles of healing and hope.
What if contributing a slice of miracle-making was a God-Given talent? What if God’s plan to make positive changed was based on everyone doing a little? What if we could change any global challenge by accepting that we have this natural gift and asking God what small act would contribute to the harmonious solution of a problem? What issue would you focus on? Would you contribute now instead of relying on someone else to change the situation? How would this change the world?
Reba McEntire did a beautiful job of expressing this:
I envision a world where people continue to awaken to their natural God-Given talent to be a part of the solution to any local or global problem. I see these contributions gathering power and creating miracles of hope and healing for all God’s children. Amen.
