When you ask yourself to be more authentic, everything that is not authentic about you comes up for observation and choice. That’s true for me, and if you, too, are walking toward remembering your Oneness with all life, then it’s probably true for you, too.

In my quest for authenticity, I’m working on another level of wellness. My body is showing me through pain in her chest and on her upper left side, that I still have issues about receiving care, nurturing, nourishment, and sustenance from myself and others. Not only does this challenge show up symptomatically, but it also shows up in my relationships with people, pets, and even food.

With mental illness and inconsistent nurturing in my history, it’s not surprising that I am working on these issues. After all, the most consistent care I received was when I was ill as a child. But, what astonishes me is how my body holds on to the conditioning created by these circumstances to the very depth of her cells, almost 30 years after I left my parent’s home for the last time. What a blessing my body is, as she willingly keeps messaging me through her pain that I can be free to be the real me, that the hunger for connection that I’ve always dreamed of can be satisfied.

As part of my journey through these issues, I started working with John of God long distance. Dr. Augusto (a well-known physician who is now in the non-physical and on John of God’s teams) took my case. As part of our work together, I relax and focus on the inter-dimensional healers working with me. One morning when I was working with my healing team, this prayer came through loud and clear, with an image to anchor the feelings of being replenished, nurtured, nourished, and sustained. I am looking forward to experiencing new levels of self- and other-care, as I continue to pray for sustenance daily.

The Words: Replenish My Body and Soul

Replenish my body and soul, Sacred Holy One, Infinite Source of All Light and Life.

Nurture all that is helpful and life-promoting.

Nourish me with your abundant goodness.

Sustain me in an ever-changing world.

Let the sacred bread and water of life bless me, quenching my hunger and thirst for more connection with you.

Let me know the satisfaction that only being wrapped in your love can bring.

Grateful for every breath, grateful for every moment of experience, I raise my song of thanksgiving to you, oh Sacred, Holy One. Amen.
