A Time of Great Happiness –
Strolling in Paris
One of the happiest memories I have is the time I spent in Paris. I was a chaperone for students who went to Paris on a foreign language intensive. Thankfully, I had brushed up on the French I studied in high school and college, so I was able to immerse myself in the French lifestyle and culture. The most exciting aspect of the Parisian experience is that I was able to visit many of the places I had studied, as French history, architecture, and art are great passions for me.
Power Prayer for Paris and Her People
When I remember, I resurrect the feelings of joy, passion, adventure, discovery, and satisfaction. I see myself walking in the Tuilleries, admiring the flowers, looking at La Louvre across the expanse. I see the Parisians strolling along with me, baguettes and a bottle of wine sticking out of their shopping bags. I hear the sounds of children laughing and the hum of people talking. I smell the freshness in the air, with a slight floral scent. I feel the sun warm my skin, the slight breeze tickle my hair.
Whenever I think of Paris, I remember and bring that happiness into the present moment. I overlay the true pleasure and zest for living that I found in the French people on this moment. I am in Paris, enjoying a stroll through the garden. I thank you, Oh, Holy Sacred One, the Source of All Light and Life and release this vision for actualization in the here and now. Let it be so. It is so. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
When I saw this photo, I thought it was a perfect image of what I remembered. Unfortunately, I forgot to write down the credits.
I’ll work on this and edit the post accordingly soon.
